Rocket, Flag and Pee Wee are the introduction to Plainwell's football program. The emphasis is on learning skills while having fun. When registering, please choose the grade your student will be entering in the fall, and indicate if your athlete is participating in any conflicting activities from Aug. 1st - Oct. 1st. (This information is only for draft considerations for the coaches.)
PEE WEE is for kids who will be entering kindergarten in the fall. They will practice 1-2 times a week and play a total of 6 games in Plainwell. Practices are scheduled to begin in mid-August (times & locations TBD). The cost is $75 per athlete and includes a jersey t-shirt. Participants must provide their own athletic shoes or cleats.
FLAG is for 1st & 2nd graders. They will practice 1-2 times a week and play a total of 6 games in Plainwell. Practices are scheduled to begin in mid-August (times & locations TBD). NOTE: Pee Wee & Flag will be run together; however, the kindergartners will be in their own league.
ROCKET is for 3rd-6th graders (must be 8 years old by 9/1/2025). The cost is $100 per athlete and includes a jersey. Players must provide their own pants, shoulder pads and helmet. All 3rd graders will need white pants and a white helmet. If you plan to buy equipment, please buy white pants and helmets. There will be 6 Saturday games. Practice dates & times will be available in August.
